How to use a U-tube Manometer Well Tester

1. Manometer-Open Flow

a. Requires nipple length not less than 8 times the diameter of

the test nipple.

b. Requires that inlet of test manometer to be centered and in

plane of the test nipple.

c. Readings of the manometer (tenths of an inch of water column)

should be taken from concave or convex portion of the meniscus

for accurate readings.

d. Flow value determined from tables (click here for some tables)
